- 1 16 oz. Can Refried Beans
- 1 4.5 oz. Can Chopped Green Chiles
- ½ tsp. Ground Cumin
- ½ tsp. Garlic Powder
- ½ tsp. Onion Powder
- 8 oz. 2 cups Shredded Mexican Cheese Blend
- ½ Medium Red Bell Pepper, Chopped
- 1 Jalapeño Chile, Sliced, Optional
- Chopped Fresh Cilantro, Optional
In a 9 inch microwave-safe pie pan or casserole dish, combine beans, green chiles, cumin, garlic powder, and onion powder and spread evenly in pan.
Cover with microwave-safe waxed paper and microwave on at full power for 2-2 ½ minutes until the dip is warm.
Sprinkle with cheese and top with bell pepper and jalapeño, if using.
Re-cover and microwave on full power for an additional 3 to 4 minutes or until cheese is almost melted.
Carefully remove pie plate from microwave and remove wax paper.
Let dip stand 2 minutes. Sprinkle with fresh cilantro, if using.
Serve with tortilla chips.
