Why Marinate Maple Bourbon Steak?
Marinating Steak or another meat is a great way to get flavor into the protein of choice. Marinating ingredients consist of an acidic or enzymatic ingredient. Acidic ingredients would be ingredients such as vinegar, citrus juice and wine. Examples of enzymatic foods would be pineapple and ginger. Those ingredients are combined with oil, herbs and other flavors. Marinating the maple bourbon steak tenderizes the meat (or other protein) which allows the flavors of the marinade to absorb into the meat.
