Egg roll in a Bowl – No deep frying required
The Egg Roll is a favorite Asian appetizer. Make this Egg Roll in a Bowl at home. It has all the tastes of an eggroll but it's a full meal.

- 1 lb. Ground beef, pork, or sausage
- 1 Half of a Small Head of Cabbage, shredded or 1 bag of coleslaw mix
- 1 Small Onion, halved and sliced lengthwise
- 2 Carrots, shredded
- 3 Cloves of Garlic, minced
- 1 inch piece of Fresh Ginger, minced or 1 tsp. of dried ginger
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 3 to 4 Tbs. Soy Sauce use GF Soy Sauce for Gluten Free meal
- Wonton Strips, Sesame seeds, and Sesame Oil for finishing (optional)
Heat a Tablespoon or so of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Brown ground beef in skillet until just about done and drain, if desired.
Add onions to skillet continually tossing the beef and onions for a minute or two.
Add carrots and sauté for a minute or so constantly moving the food around in the pan.
Add garlic, ginger, salt and pepper and sauté for another minute.
Add cabbage and sauté for a few minutes until it starts to soften some while constantly tossing and moving the ingredients around in the pan.
Toss in soy sauce and any additional salt and pepper if needed.
Top with sesame seeds and a little drizzle of sesame oil if you choose to.
