- 1 Tbs. Chili Powder
- 2 tsp. Ground Cumin
- ½ tsp. Garlic Powder
- ½ tsp. Onion Powder
- ¼ tsp. Oregano
- ¾ tsp. Salt, Optional
- ¼ tsp. Black Pepper, Optional
- ¼ tsp. Cayenne Pepper, Optional
The Chili Powder – I use a mild chili powder blend found in most grocery stores. You could also use a specific chili powder such as Ancho if you wanted to.
Heat Level – For families that like spicier foods, add some cayenne pepper to the mix. Start with ¼ tsp. and adjust as needed.
Salt – Salt is an ingredient in the recipe that is based on taste and preference. Use ¾-1 tsp. of salt per pound of ground beef.
Make a batch of seasoning using the following ingredient measurements.
- ¼ Cup Chili Powder
- 8 tsp. Ground Cumin
- 2 tsp. Garlic Powder
- 2 tsp. Onion Powder
- 1 tsp. Oregano
- 1 Tbs. Salt (Optional)
- 1 tsp. Black Pepper (Optional)
- 1 tsp. Cayenne Pepper (Optional)
Instructions:
- Mix all the ingredients well and store in an airtight container
- Use 2 Tbs. Taco Seasoning in place of one packet of taco seasoning.
