- Canned Soup – The Weight Watchers recipe uses Minestrone Soup which contains pasta and is not gluten free. Using a canned vegetable soup that is gluten free like the one by Progresso makes it just as tasty without the gluten.
- Beans – Use your favorite canned beans in the recipe. Pintos, Kidneys, Cannellini and Chickpeas all work!
- Canned Tomatoes – The are brands of diced tomatoes that already have seasonings. Add a can of these for added flavor.
- Swap the Corn – Use canned green beans or mixed vegetables in place of the canned corn to cut a few calories.
- Seasonings – Additional seasonings are not included in the Weight Watchers recipe but make use of the spices in your pantry to get more flavor into the soup.
