Soft and Chewy Gluten Free Rice Krispie Treats
Ingredients
- 4-5 Tbs Butter
- 6 Cups Gluten Free Rice Krispies, Kelloggs Rice Krispies are NOT Gluten Free in post that are.
- 4 Cups Mini Marshmallows
- Gluten Free Sprinkles, optional
Instructions
- Measure 6 cups of gluten free Rice Krispies into a medium bowl and put off to the side.
- In a large microwave safe bowl, melt 4-5 Tablespoons of Butter on high for about 1 minute, just until it is melted.
- Once the butter has melted, add 4 heaping cups of mini marshmallows to the bowl and stir to coat with a silicone spatula.
- Microwave on high in 30 second intervals stirring each time until the marshmallows and butter are totally incorporated into each other. The mixture should be smooth.
- Quickly fold the Rice Krispies into the marshmallow mixture and spread evenly into the prepared pan.
- Add sprinkles, if desired.
- Chill for 15 minutes for the treats to set up. Then remove from fridge, cut into squares and store covered at room temperature.
