Gift Ideas for the Ones that Rattle the Pots and Shake the Pans

Some people go into the kitchen, grab ingredients and throw a dish together with authority.  No cookbooks needed for them.

What about cookware? Those people are probably not getting their cookware from the big box department store.

Look at these stores for gift idea inspiration:

Williams Sonoma

When I think about cooking stores, Williams Sonoma comes to mind first. I can spend an easy hour in the place looking at cookware, gourmet ingredients, cookbooks, and gadgets. You can find lots of kitchen goodness for the gluten free home cook on your gift buying list.

Head over to Williams Sonoma HERE.

Sur La Table

Cookware, Bakeware, and Knives oh my.   Dinnerware, Coffees and Teas to try. All of this and more to buy. There are just too many good gift ideas at Sur la table to put into a few sentences.

Sur La TableIf the foodie you have in mind has a Sur la table where they live, cooking classes are available too.

Gift Ideas for the Ones that Want to Spice Things Up

Flavor is key regardless of dietary needs and these two companies know how to help with that.

Savory Spice Shop

Savory Spice started doing business in Denver in 2004. I was really excited when Raleigh got a local franchise.  The owners and staff of the shop are wonderful and provide amazing customer service.

The shop carries the herbs and spices you have in your cabinet already like pepper, cinnamon and dried thyme. They just amp it up lots of notches in what they offer. You may have one type of cinnamon….they have 8. Each type of cinnamon provides a slightly different flavor or comes in another form, like sticks.

In addition to all the single herbs and spices they also have their own signature seasoning blends that flavors even the blandest food.

If you don’t have Savory Spice Shop where you’re at not worries. You can get all their great products online at Savory Spice Shop.

Find Savory Spice Shop HERE.

Penzeys

Penzeys is another store to order herbs and spices from.

If you’re watching your sodium the salt free products are clearly marked for easily finding those items. Hint. It’s not the single herb or spice you need to watch but the blended seasonings.

Penzey’s doesn’t lack for baking spices either.  Powdered spices, extracts, and vanilla beans are just some of the fun items you find for your baking needs.

Thrive Market

Thrive Market
If you know a person that likes to get their groceries online, get them an annual membership to Thrive Market.  Thrive Market is an online organic grocer that offers Organic and Non-GMO products for less.

The ability to search items by specialty diets (Gluten Free, Vegan, Paleo, etc.) makes finding products easy.

They have familiar brands like Bob’s Red Mill and Simple Mills as well as their own private label branded products.

While there is an annual membership fee, thrive market shipping is free for orders over 49.00. I have a friend that purchases from Thrive Market and really enjoys the products and prices.

You can get to Thrive Market by clicking HERE.

Dean & Deluca

Dean and Deluca have been in business for 40 years so they know their way around gourmet foods. Gourmet Foods like cheeses, meats, and Olive oils. Coffees, Teas, herbs and spices. They also have bakery items including a few gluten free options.

They have a page on the website that pulls up their gluten free gourmet food options. I found that reading the details on the products was more informative than by just doing the gluten free search. Some items I looked at were gluten free and not listed on the gluten free page. Be sure to look over everything they offer and not just the ones under the gluten free tab.

Check out Dean & Deluca HERE.

Stonewall Kitchen

Stonewall Kitchen, LLCI’ve seen Stonewall Kitchen products in lots of little gift shops or food shops. They also have a website. What they have available online for food items doesn’t compare to what I’ve seen in stores.

I didn’t realize they had some many cool food items. Jams, dressings, sauces, salsas and more. A couple interesting food items online are bacon ketchup and bourbon molasses mustard.

Ingredients are clearly listed on their products under the nutritional info making spotting gluten easy. The products clearly state if they are Gluten Free.

Find Stonewall Kitchen HERE.

Raise.com

In my opinion, gift cards are appropriate gift options. Think about the difficult time Gluten Free Foodies have finding restaurants with dishes they can eat. Ingredient labels at the grocery store are read every time if the brand isn’t known to be a gluten free brand.

Don’t feel bad about getting a gift card for a restaurant you know they eat at or a grocery store that the frequently shop. Raise.com sells used gift cards at a discount. Discount percentages vary from a few percent up to 50% or more. You can get cards for Target, Walmart, Home Depot, Olive Garden, Dunkin’ Donuts, Chili’s, and more.

I’ve used Raise.com before for gift cards. It’s legit and they offer a 1-year money back guarantee if your card cannot be redeemed as indicated.
