Green Beans

We’re not overly bias when it comes to how green beans are packaged in our house. We’ll eat them fresh, frozen, and even the dreaded canned variety. Don’t be a hater. Tara and I both grew up on the canned variety. Sometimes it’s nice to just open, drain, heat, and be done. Our Sheltie, Finnigan even likes them. We give him frozen ones straight from the freezer as a treat. They are cost effective for us and low calorie for him.

Fresh beans have been going on sale fairly often in our area for about .99lb, which is a great price. Sautéing has been my current preferred cooking method for them.

You’ll most likely have to pick up the green beans while shopping, but the other things are probably already in your cabinet. This makes for a quick, easy side dish that’s affordable and healthy. If you feel like a challenged cook, I urge you to try this recipe. You can do it, I promise.

These would be a great side dish to go with any of these meals.
