- ¾ Cup Water
- 4 Medium Carrots, Peeled and Sliced
- 8 oz. Sugar Snap Or Snow Peas, Trimmed
- 2 Tbs. Butter
- ½ tsp. Cornstarch
- 2 Tbs. Honey
- Salt and Pepper, to taste
Add water to a medium saucepan and bring to a boil.
Add the carrots, cover and cook until tender but a still a little crisp, 10 to 12 minutes.
Add the pea pods and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes; drain and set aside.
Return the saucepan to the stove and melt the butter, then stir in the cornstarch.
Add the carrots, peas and honey to the pan.
Season with Salt and Pepper
Gently stir over medium heat until the carrots and pea pods are coated with the glaze and heated through; 1-2 minutes.
Serve and Enjoy!
- Pea Pods – Sugar Snap or Snow Peas both work for this recipe.
- Frozen Pea Pods - Use frozen sugar snap peas if fresh are too expensive or not available where you shop.
- Butter and Honey – Adjust the butter and honey amounts to your family’s liking.
