Classic Margarita

If it's Friday I'm most likely having a Margarita. Margaritas are good at Mexican Restaurants and even better when you make your own.

Ingredients

  • 2 oz. Good Tequila
  • 1.5 oz. Triple Sec
  • Margarita Salt or Coarse Kosher Salt
  • 1 Lime, juiced
  • 1/2 tsp. Agave Nectar or other sweetener, if desired

Instructions

  • Cut lime in half.
  • Rub lime half around rim of glass and dip into salt.
  • Put a few ice cubes in the glass
  • Squeeze juice of one lime into a cocktail shaker.
  • Add 2 oz. Tequila to the cocktail shaker.
  • Add 1 ½ oz. Triple Sec to the cocktail shaker.
  • Add 1 tsp Agave Nectar to the cocktail shaker.
  • Add a few ice cubes to cocktail shaker and shake well.
  • Strain into glass.
