Making your own instead of buying a box is a way to step up your gift giving a little bit.

Valentine’s Day Candy Nests
Ingredients
- 1 12 oz. bag of Wilton Candy Melts – Pick a good Valentine color like red or pink.
- 1 8-16 oz. bag of pretzel sticks, gluten free or gluten full.
- Small bag of Valentine M&Ms or conversation hearts
Instructions
- Instructions
- Prepare two cookie sheets by covering them in waxed paper or parchment paper.
- Lightly break or crush 3 cups of pretzel sticks into smaller pieces. You want them about one third of their original size.
- Melt 1 ½ Cups of the candy melts in a microwave safe bowl following package directions.
- Once the chocolate has melted, add the pretzels to the chocolate and mix thoroughly.
- Using a tablespoon, drop mounds of chocolate coated pretzels onto the prepared cookie sheets.
- Put 2 or 3 M&Ms or conversation hearts in the center of each nest and press down slightly. This allows for the candy to stick to the chocolate and to shape the candy more like a nest.
- Chill in the refrigerator until set. This only takes 5-10 minutes.
